Automated Football Rebound Test System

A rebound test system for football manufacturers. The ball is dropped from a set height, typically 2 metres, and the system automatically records the peak of each bounce against the measuring scale. After ten drops it checks the average against the target window.

Overview

Dropped from 200 cm, ten times, recorded automatically

The Automated Football Rebound Test System measures how consistently a football bounces. The ball is dropped from a set height, typically 200 cm, and the system automatically records the exact peak of each rebound against the measuring scale. After ten drops, the system averages the heights and compares the result with the accepted range.

Where it is used

  • Bounce consistency checks in football production
  • Outdoor (size 5 and size 4), beach soccer and futsal balls
  • In-house testing against FIFA Quality Pro, FIFA Quality and FIFA Basic limits
  • A rebound graph and report for every test

How it works

Drop, capture, average, verdict

Each bounce is recorded automatically, so the result does not depend on someone's eye.

Each rebound height is recorded and shown green or red against the target window.

  • Ten-drop average

The average peak height in centimetres, inches and millimetres, with a drop counter.

  • Target window

The pass window for the selected standard, for example 135–155 cm.

  • Rebound graph & reports

A bar graph of all ten drops and an exportable report per test.

FAQ

Questions about the Automated Football Rebound Test System

How is the rebound height measured?

The ball is dropped in front of a graduated measuring scale and the system automatically records the peak height of each rebound. After ten drops it reports the average.

What counts as a pass?

The ten-drop average must fall inside the target window for the selected standard, for example 135–155 cm. Each individual drop is also shown in or out of the window.

Which standards and balls are supported?

FIFA Quality Pro, FIFA Quality and FIFA Basic, for outdoor size 5 and size 4, beach soccer and futsal balls.
